Several streets throughout town are designated as Emergency Snow Routes. It is illegal to park a vehicle at any time on a snow route when snow removal operations are in progress or before such operations have begun. (Chp 69.10) Once snow has reached two (2) inches it is illegal to park vehicles on even numbered calendar days on the even numbered sides of the streets as determined by the numbers on houses and/or buildings. On odd numbered calendar days it is illegal to park vehicles on the odd numbered sides of the streets. (Chp 69.10) It is unlawful for any person to throw, push, place or cause to be placed any snow or ice from private property, sidewalks, or driveways onto the traveled way of a street or alley. (Chp 135.12) Within ten (10) hours after the accumulation of snow and ice, property owner's must remove such snow and ice from sidewalks. If not, the City may do so and assess the costs against the property owner for collection in the same manner as a property tax. (Chp 136.03)
